Chest Pain Right Side
People often times misdiagnosed recurrent chest pain
right side as a symptom of coronary disease. Truth is
that there are various factors that might trigger pain in this
specific area. That is why, it is best advice that once you are
experiencing this on a regular basis, you should go ahead and
consult your doctor.
There are times when the chest pain right
side that you feel has no relation on your internal
organs at all. Since the pain is concentrated on a specific
area of your chest, it would be easier for you to self-diagnose
your condition. Before consulting your doctor, try to remember
if you have had any injury or neck problem in the past few
days. This can possibly be the thing that is causing the pain
on the right side of your chest.
Another thing that you might as well check is your food
intake and medication. People who are regularly taking
over-the-counter antacids often times experience chest
pain right side due to the side effect of the medicine
or what they call, the reflux disease. Try to gradually stop
your intake of over-the-counter medicine and once you notice
that the pain no longer occurs; you caught for yourself the
culprit.
If otherwise, none of these is causing you chest
pain right side, consult your doctor who can prescribe
you with some laboratory tests you have to undergo. Usually,
pain on the right side of the chest is caused by either a
gallbladder problem or hepatitis. Once you consult the doctor,
you will be given an electrocardiogram or chest radiograph
which will show the condition of your chest cavity. An
ultrasound might also be performed on you to detect if you have
gallstones while blood test and tissue sampling from your liver
will diagnose if you have hepatitis.
