What you feel in your chest can be grouped into two
categories:
The first group can be called cardiac causes and the second
is the non-cardiac causes. Chest pain causes of the cardiac
kind can be linked to a heart attack, angina and other cardiac
causes. Heart attack leads the list of causes as this can cause
pressure, a feeling of fullness and that crushing pain in the
chest that can lasts for a few minutes. That pain can be
accompanied by shortness of breath, nausea and dizziness. Also
the restricted flow of the blood to the heart can cause chest
pains. Pain in the chest can also be experienced when there is
inflammation in the sac that surrounds the heart.

non-cardiac causes as well. In this category, the pain that you
feel will be unrelated to your heart. Heart burn is one cause,
and often this happens right after the meal and the condition
may lasts for hours. Panic attacks can cause pain in the chest
as well. Issues with your lungs, sore muscles and pinched
nerves can also induce chest pains. And even swallowing
disorders and gall bladder issues can lead to pains in the
chest.
