Muscle Twitching Causes

You may have experienced muscle twitching or you know someone who is inconvenienced by this annoying twitch. This is a common occurrence that is often neglected, rationalizing that the twitching is a normal action of the body.

Is twitching really a common issue that needs to be neglected? Of course this isn’t true and this kind of condition can be associated to Fibromyalgia syndrome. This is a serious condition as well and as such the many muscle twitching causes should be understood in order to properly address them.

The twitches will happen when nerves in the body will begin to move or fire involuntarily. There are many possible causes as to why the muscle in your body twitches.

The list of major muscle twitching causes:

  • Muscle fatigue
  • A strain on the muscle or injury
  • Emotional stress and anxiety
  • Caffeine
  • A disorder in the nervous system and even caffeine

The list of muscle twitching causes will also include weakening of the muscles in the body of the person. This happens when the nerves that stimulate the muscles are no longer working properly.

When this happens, the muscles in the body cannot contract and relax as they normally will. Muscle weakness may happen once a person has a stroke, multiple sclerosis, has a nervous system disorder and experienced trauma to the nerves.

The feelings and the sensation that you often get with muscle twitching includes that feeling of tingling, the feeling of an electric muscle, those sudden uncontrollable movements and certain sleep disorders.
