Chest Pain Burning Like Hell
Chest pain burning upon exertion of an
activity signals angina pectoris. once it is not relieved by
rest, a more life-threatening condition is at stake, and it is
myocardial infarction. but a blazing sensation of chest pain is
not only common among people who have these disorders, but also
those who are suffering from anxiety attacks.
This article focuses on two disease conditions where chest
discomfort is common: heart attack and anxiety. people who are
suffering from these conditions are most of the time subjected
to a decrease in activity performance, and even at risk of
death.
The chest pain burning before the onset of
a heart attack is the same pain that is smouldering in those
who are undergoing an anxiety disorder. in fact, the exact
mechanism is that once the person is anxious, he will
experience palpitations and increase in heart rate that
eventually causes chest aches, which can further lead to heart
attack if not managed immediately. this observation also
implies that chest pain in both heart attack and anxiety
conditions calls for an emergency situation. what is more
interesting is that once the person has experienced any
cardiovascular discomfort, such as angina pectoris and
myocardial infarction, he is also experiencing an increasing
level of anxiety regarding his conditions, which can worsen his
well-being.
So does this means that chest pain experienced in anxiety
and heart attack can be interchangeable? yes, it is safe to say
it that way, but it can be better explained that chest pain in
anxiety results to heart attack and vice versa. in other words,
the feelings and perceptions of chest pain run in cycle.
After linking the quality of chest discomfort in anxious
clients with a possibility of experiencing a life threatening
condition of heart attack, its time to look into the
differences on the onset, duration and location of the
chest pain burning day and night. here is a
brief summary:
- Chest pain in heart attack is usually unrelieved by
rest, whereas in persons experiencing increasing levels of
anxiety, chest pain can be relieved by rest or deep
breathing exercises.
- The duration of chest pain varies. among persons who
are having precipitating heart attack, it can last up to an
hour, or abruptly stops when the person suddenly loses
consciousness or dies. whereas in anxiety disorders, it can
last for a few minutes but usually disappears gradually
once the person thinks of pleasant experiences, and not
traumatic ones.
- The location of chest pain in persons who are about to
experience heart attack is in the midsternal portion of the
chest that radiates in the shoulders, jaws, and back, while
the location of pain in anxiety attacks may be hem in only
on the center, and is usually accompanied by rapid and
shallow respirations.
The chest pain burning among patients who
have cardiac disorders and those who are having anxiety attacks
is a nightmare. therefore, to help alleviate this kind of
discomfort, it is important that treatment is immediate and
accurate, so that the person won’t be facing a lot more of
complications.
