Chest Pain in Women
There are various factors that may cause chest pain
in women. Most of these involve other ailments and
diseases that are related to our internal organs. If you are
experiencing bouts of chest pain on a regular basis, it is best
that you immediately consult a doctor to find out what might be
causing it.
The number one cause of chest pain in women
is cardiac ailments and diseases. The most common of these is
angina pectoris—a disorder that causes the blockage of one or
more arteries. Because of this, the circulation of blood
towards the heart is reduced which deprives it of oxygen. This
would lead to too much pressure on the heart which eventually
causes chest pain. Periconditis is another heart ailment which
is characterized by the inflammation of the sack that covers
the heart. Once this heart membrane expands, it would also
cause pressure on your chest.
Other causes of chest pain in women involve
musculoskeletal factors. This one can be considered as chest
pain in itself which is characterized by the tendering of the
chest wall whenever it is touched. Other symptoms of
musculoskeletal chest pains can be detected when you are
feeling the same kind of pain whenever you move your shoulder
or arm.
Gastrointestinal ailments may also lead to chest
pain in women. If you found out that your pain is
caused by food intake, there might be something wrong with your
gallbladder. If, otherwise, it involves the lack of food intake
or the feeling you had when the stomach is empty, this might be
caused by acid reflux due to heartburn or ulcer.
Chest Pain is one of the anxiety disorder symptoms,
and you should verify other symptoms to eliminate the
possibility of anxiety attacks.
