• Anxiety – aside from mental alterations like difficulty in focusing on perception, and processing thoughts, this condition also involves physical symptoms, and one of which is a stabbing chest pain that is in the center of the chest.
  
• Breast Cancer – although once this disease condition starts to fall on the later stage, where pain can be felt in other parts of the body, especially on areas where lymph nodes are located, the chest pain center of chest discomfort is usually on the upper chest area surrounding the affected portion of the breast.
  
• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease – this abnormal condition of the gastrointestinal tract is responsible for the so-called “heart burn” that precipitates a burning chest pain that is usually located on the middle and sides of the chest area.

There are other diseases that have similar symptoms and locations of chest pain with the ones mentioned above. some of these are fibromyalgia, panic attacks, haital hernia, lead poisoning, and hyperventilation.

The knowledge that chest pain does not only signifies an abnormal heart condition, will help the physician rule out a correct diagnosis and for health care providers to establish as accurate treatment plan for it. therefore, it is very important to distinguish first the chest pain center of chest discomfort to find out if the client is suffering from a heart problem or any other disease for that matter.
